What we treat

Family medicine, with a women's health focus.

One physician who knows your history, treating the whole family — and going deeper on the areas most family practices refer out.

Women's Health

Dr. Gisi's primary focus. Well-woman visits, hormone health and menopause care, family planning and contraception, and the ongoing conversations that don't fit into a ten-minute appointment.

  • Well-woman visits
  • Hormone replacement
  • Menopause care
  • Family planning
  • Contraception

Preventive Care

Annual wellness visits, screenings and the yearly check-in that catches things early.

Integrative Medicine

Looking for the cause rather than only treating the symptom, using nutrition and lifestyle alongside conventional care.

Depression & Anxiety

Mental health treated as part of your overall care, by the doctor who already knows your history.

Pain Management

A considered, conservative approach to chronic pain, coordinated with the rest of your care.

Lifestyle, nutrition & weight management

Structured lifestyle programmes, nutritional guidance and supplement support — used as a first-line therapy wherever it can be, rather than as an afterthought. Ask at your visit which approach fits your situation.

  • Weight management
  • Nutrition
  • Lifestyle education
  • Supplement guidance
Every age, from well-baby checks to Medicare annual wellness visits.

Portrait of Dr. Sylvia A. Gisi, family physician in Temecula, California

Dr. Gisi has cared for families in Temecula since 2002, and has run her own independent practice here for more than twenty years. In her own words, she specialises in women's health — though she enjoys treating the entire family, and many of her patients have been with her across three generations.

Her approach leans on prevention and on understanding the whole picture: she trained in integrative and functional medicine, nutrition and herbal therapy alongside conventional family practice, and believes in using nutritional support as a first-line therapy where it's appropriate.

Being a solo, independent practice means the doctor who sees you is the doctor who knows your history — not whoever is available that day.

Your first visit

Becoming a patient is four steps.

01

What to expect, so nothing about your first appointment is a surprise.

  1. Call the office Step 01

Call (951) 303-6158 to book. Have your insurance details to hand so the office can confirm your coverage before your visit — plan participation changes, so it's always worth checking first.

  2. Complete your forms Step 02

New-patient paperwork is sent to you ahead of time. Filling it in at home is what keeps your first appointment about your health rather than about admin.

  3. Arrive 30 minutes early Step 03

Please arrive half an hour before your appointment with your completed forms, photo ID, insurance card and a list of your current medications. For a child, bring their Social Security number and a parent's.

  4. Your visit, then follow-up Step 04

You'll see Dr. Gisi herself. Afterwards you can view records and message the office through the secure patient portal, and prescription refills go through your pharmacy or the office directly.
